Features
Excellent debris flow capture
The J slit dam reliably captures debris flows with its permeable structure of steel pipes. Acquiring the Construction Technology Review and Certification in 2006 for its excellent ability to capture sediment and driftwood, more than 1,000 dams have been constructed across Japan up to 2023 with a record of successful capture.
Three-dimensional frame structure with high redundancy
Having a three-dimensional frame structure with high redundancy, even if some members are damaged, the entire structure will not be destroyed and will continue to function. In addition, it features enhanced safety due to a profile that prevents overflowing debris from directly hitting downstream members.
Structure that is river environment-friendly
Because it does not divide the river channel, it is possible to maintain the continuity of the habitat and environment for living organisms. In addition, the mountain landscape remains visible through the see-through section.
Conforms to the Steel Sabo Structure Design Handbook (New Edition)
The J slit dam is designed in accordance with the "Steel Sabo Structure Design Handbook (New Edition)" published by the Sabo & Landslide Technical Center, addressing sediment disasters which are becoming increasingly severe.
